STORE AND REFUND POLICY
Hi! Please read the following store policy before using the store. If you have any questions or concerns about these terms and conditions, please feel free to contact me via social media or the email above. Thank you!
A) Pick up and Delivery:
1) Plants are available either for pick-up, delivery or shipping. Please select the option that would like to use prior to check out.
2) It is the buyers responsibility to select the option that best suits their needs prior to checkout. I am not responsible for any plants not received if you selected the incorrect option and there may be considerable delays in getting your plant to you should this occur. To use an example, if you are located in Ontario and select local pick-up, I will of course not be able to get your plants to you as I am located in Edmonton. Similarly, if you have opted to purchase potted plants but require shipping, I will not be able to ship the plants to you potted.
3) This business does not have a physical retail location. As such, there are no store hours. All transactions for plant sales are only conducted through this website.
B) Pick-up:
1) Pick-up is available for no additional charge, and is by the Shoppers on 104th Street (8065 104 St NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 4E3).
2) Pick-ups are done every Saturday from 11AM - 12PM. I will not be at the pick-up location outside of these times. If this pick-up time does not work for you, an alternative pick-up time may be arranged privately at my discretion. I have the right to refuse alternate pick-up times if they are not feasible.
3) Please bring a copy of your online receipt with you, either digitally or physically, as proof of purchase. Plants will not be handed over unless proof of purchase is presented.
4) Social distancing guidelines must be followed during pick-up. Failure to do so may result in your plants not being delivered.
5) If a pick-up is missed, plants will be held for 48 hours after pick-up. If I am not contacted by you within 48 hours of a missed pick-up to arrange an alternate method of delivery, your order will be placed back into the sales inventory. NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED IN THIS EVENT.
6)Should you miss or reschedule three pick-up appointments consecutively, this will also unfortunately result in your order being placed back into the sales inventory as per (5). As such, please try to make your pick-up appointments.
7) Should I be unable to make a pick-up day, I will contact you to reschedule. In this event, this missed appointment does not count towards items (5) and (6).
8) Pick-up is scheduled at least 1 week (7 days) in advance to the next available Saturday. To use an example, if an order is placed on Monday the 1st, the order will be placed for the following Saturday the 13th. This is to allow time for changes to orders, processing orders, and to space out pick-up appointments due to current COVID restrictions.
C) Delivery:
1) Delivery is available for $5 within downtown Edmonton limits, and $10 to other areas in Edmonton. Please see map above for areas covered (red area is covered under the $5 downtown Edmonton limit, and the blue area is covered under the $10 greater Edmonton limit).
2) Plants are delivered every Saturday from 12PM to 3PM unless other arrangements are made with the seller prior to purchase. Plants that are ordered on Saturdays for delivery will be delivered the next available Saturday.
D) Shipping:
1) Plants are delivered outside of Edmonton city limits by expedited Canada Post shipping unless another option is selected on checkout. Shipping is at the buyer's risk.
2) Plants are shipped every Monday to minimize time in transit.
E) Order Add-Ons
1) If you have an order already in progress and would like to add plants to this order, please select the add-on order option. Adding on to your order has a $2 surcharge for packing, etc.
2) If you do not have an existing order in progress and use this option for your plants, your order may be cancelled and refunded.
Plant condition and guarantees:
1) I am not responsible for the condition of plants after they have been received, or, in the case of shipping, after they have been received by Canada Post.
2) I am NOT responsible for cold or heat damage to shipped plants. It is your responsibility to ensure that the plants can be delivered to you in suitable weather and/or be mailed to a location where they will not be damaged by poor weather and to contact me in the event that you do not feel this is possible. I cannot provide any refunds should this occur to you. If you are living somewhere where the weather is not warm enough for shipping or unsure in any way if the plants will not survive shipping, please add a comment saying so with your order and we can work something out, either by delaying the shipping date, providing extra insulation, etc. outside of the standard packing detailed below to suit your needs.
3) If your plants were shipped to you and you believe your parcel was mishandled by the courier, or if the plants are completely dead on arrival without any hope of recovery for reasons OTHER than cold or heat damage, please contact me within 24 hours with photographs of the plants. Photographs of the plants must be taken within 24 hours of receipt. Receipt of parcel is determined not by when you open the parcel, but by the confirmation email from Canada Post indicating the parcel has been successfully delivered.
4) Plants are provided bare-root. Bare-rooted plants means the plants are removed from the media they are growing in, wrapped in a plug of sphagnum moss and secured with moist paper towel, bagged in a ziploc bag to retain moisture and labeled. If your plants are shipped, they will then be insulated with crumpled newspaper and shipped in a 4" x 4" x 6" box. Please read the corresponding article on acclimating your plant post shipping for how to care for your plants after you receive them. Please see the photos below; they are representative of how bare-root plants are sold.

5) Thank you for making it this far into the terms and conditions. I really appreciate it. As such, if you have an order above $50, please use the following code (READTHERULES50) to receive a free plant of my choosing with your order.
6) If you would like plants to be potted for pick-up or delivery, this can be arranged for a small handling fee, as indicated in the store. Plants cannot be shipped potted at this time.
7) How plants look visually are as shown in their pictures at the time of packing, unless stated otherwise in the plant description. Images shown in the sales listing are only representative of the plant at the time the photo was taken and may not represent the plant at the time of purchase.
8) Plants are provided on a first-come, first-served basis unless it is specifically mentioned otherwise in the plant description. Plants cannot be reserved for this reason.
9) Cut-off time for orders is Wednesday evening weekly at 6PM. This is so email notifications can be sent out to confirm orders on Thursday morning at 8AM. To use an example, from the week of March 1 - 7, orders made before the 5th at 6 PM (Wednesday) would be shipped on Monday the 10th. Orders made after 6PM on the 5th would be shipped the following Monday, the 17th.
